Sony has revealed the first State of Play livestream will take place this Wednesday, 12th February 2025, featuring more than 40 minutes of PS5 game announcements, news, and updates. The showcase starts at 10pm GMT / 2pm PT / 5pm ET.
In the PlayStation Blog post announcing the event, Sony says to expect «news and updates on great games coming to PS5. The show celebrates a creative and unique selection of exciting games from studios around the world.» You'll be able to watch on YouTube and Twitch at the following times:
As for what sort of announcements we might see during the show, the Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater trailer that recently leaked — confirming a 28th August 2025 release — seems all but locked in. Hell Is Us is another likely prospect after the game was listed for pre-order on the Xbox Store. As for first-party possibilities, Death Stranding 2: On the Beach and Ghost of Yotei are the most probable candidates.

Liam grew up with a PlayStation controller in his hands and a love for Metal Gear Solid. Nowadays, he's found playing the latest and greatest PS5 games as well as supporting Derby County. That last detail is his downfall.
Just give me a Ghost of Yotei release date and an official announcement for the new Fantasy Life and il be happy.
Expect a multitude of Soukslike to be shown which I'm kinda bored of seeing now.
Just give me my God Of War collection and I'll be content
I know I should set my expectations low, but Sony really needs to announce something that is worth hyping for.
Bloodborne aside, I'm in dire need of anything Gravity Rush, whether it's the 3rd installment or just a remaster of GR2. Also, anything Ape Escape and I'd accept even a port of Ape Escape 3
Okay let's go! What outlandish expectations do we all have for this?
