Baldur's Gate 3 released Patch 6 a few days ago, dubbed the "kissing update" (that infamously missed Valentine's Day). But it didn't just add new smooching animations, it also added a bunch of new bugs.
One of the big issues plaguing players was broken traders, as vendors had a chance of spawning with zero gold while bartering risked crashing the game. Hardly ideal for shopkeepers in busy towns hoping to swap goods with brave adventurers. Thankfully, Hotfix #18 is here.
There are still a lot of other, major problems that Patch 6 added which have yet to be resolved, but developer Larian Studios promises that it is "continuing to work on other fixes", urging players to double-check whether now-incompatible mods are causing the issues. "As mods aren't officially supported at the moment, some installed mods may become temporarily incompatible with new patches and hotfixes," the blog post reads.
As highlighted on the game's dedicated subreddit, here are some of the issues Patch 6 introduced that have yet to be ironed out:
This specific hotfix is dedicated to sorting out problems with traders, so you might still run into a lot of these other, new bugs. However, Larian is "actively working on fixes for other noted issues", so it shouldn't be too long before we're able to safely get through Act 2 again.
If you run into any other bugs that have not yet been highlighted, you can either make note of them on the Reddit thread or go straight to Larian Studios' support channel and flag the issue directly. You can do so by clicking the link here.
