The Helldivers 2 player community thinks that a new enemy type is being teased by developer Arrowhead Game Studios. The latest development in the Helldivers 2 in-game galactic war has some players speculating about what the studio has planned for the soldiers of Super Earth.
One of the more unique aspects of the extraordinarily popular multiplayer hit Helldivers 2 is its galactic war, a game-wide meta-campaign orchestrated by a staffer at Arrowhead Game Studios nicknamed «Joel.» Through «major orders» issued by Super Earth Command encouraging Helldivers to attack or defending certain planets, players can participate in the galactic war and contribute to the efforts of Super Earth to defeat its enemies.
The latest wrinkle in the Helldivers 2 galactic war is a new major order from Super Earth Command. The latest directive is to liberate the worlds of Zagon Prime and Fori Prime within the next two days. The target worlds are deep in Terminid-controlled territory, leading some players to speculate that Zagon Prime and Fori Prime represent a «prime» opportunity for Arrowhead to spring a new enemy type out of hiding. Players have already reported seeing flying Terminids in some Helldivers 2 sessions (an assertion vigorously denied by Super Earth Command), so it stands to reason that the Terminids may have more unique reinforcements awaiting the arrival of Super Earth's armies.
Other players commented that Zagon Prime or Fori Prime might be hiding giant bugs beneath the surface of the target planets or even on planets the players think are already secure. The tone of the major order also suggests that Super Earth Command is quite confident in the safety of several previously liberated worlds, thanks to the Terminid Control System (TCS) that was activated by players over the course of the last major order. Nevertheless, players are committing to follow Command's instructions, as successful completion of a major order rewards everyone with medals vital to unlocking new Helldive
