Acheron’s real name in has allegedly been leaked before the release of Version 2.3, and the answer may provide more answers about her true identity – and with it, more details about her past and how she connects to the larger story in the game. Acheron is one of the new characters in 2.1, where she was finally added as a playable unit. She had already debuted as an NPC in Version 2.0 and the release of Penacony as an explorable destination. Nevertheless, since Acheron first appeared, she has been highly awaited by players.

If they beat the gacha’s odds and pull her, they can now control Acheron in the overworld and in battle – and she is a spectacular DPS. Acheron is a 5-star Lightning character who follows the Path of the Nihility but, instead of applying DoT (damage-over-time) effects on opponents, she relies on general debuffs on them to charge her Elemental Burst. In terms of lore, Acheron is shrouded in mystery, though some revelations occurred in the excellent 2.1 story missions. Now, new leaks about upcoming content include her real name and a hint at her possible identity.
According to new information provided by the leaker known as HXG, which was shared in a post tagged as “” on Reddit, Acheron’s “”. Roughly translated by users in the replies to the original post on Reddit, these characters compose something to the likes of “”, which would point to her real name being Raiden Mei. This should come as no surprise for players accustomed to other HoYoverse games, as Acheron in is clearly an expy inspired by the Raiden Mei archetype from the broader series.
In, Raiden Ei (or Raiden Shogun), is the expy to ’s Raiden Mei. They share similarities in their elemental type, design, color palette, and, curiously enough even their weapon type – though Raiden Shogun carries a polearm, she draws out a powerful electric sword during her Burst.
