Honkai: Star Rail Confirms New Character for Version 2.3
Honkai: Star Rail has launched the official drip marketing campaign for Jade, confirming that she is a five-star Erudition unit. Jade isn't the only new character that will be introduced in Honkai: Star Rail's version 2.3, as the developers confirmed yesterday that Firefly, another five-star unit, will appear in the upcoming update. The banner order for version 2.3 has yet to be revealed, but it's believed that Firefly will arrive in the first phase, while Jade will be available in the second phase.
Though Honkai: Star Rail is weeks away from version 2.3, details about what type of content will be included in this update have recently leaked online. There will allegedly be new Light Cones and relic sets players can obtain from events and Caverns of Corrosion. Furthermore, Honkai: Star Rail version 2.3 will reportedly make several quality-of-life changes to improve the player experience.
The official drip marketing campaign for Jade confirmed that she will be one of Honkai: Star Rail's Erudition characters. The upcoming unit will use Quantum as her element and have a five-star rarity. As for Jade's design, she wears a multicolored dress, a turquoise bracelet, a leg belt, and a floppy cap.
HoYoverse hasn't revealed Jade's kit yet, but some Honkai: Star Rail leaks have given players an insight into her skills. Jade has a unique technique that prevents enemies from detecting her in combat. She delivers a degree of AoE quantum damage using her Ultimate, which increases follow-up attack charges. Moreover, she buffs the speed of allies and inflicts the Nephrite effect on them. When allies with this effect attack enemies, Jade regenerates some energy.
In addition to Jade, Honkai: Star Rail version 2.3 will add another five-star unit, Firefly, who belongs to the Destruction path and uses the Fire element.
