As reported by Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, in the latest edition of his ‘Power On’ newsletter, he talks about the potential launch of two iPad Pro models and one iPad Air. A new Apple Pencil and a revamped Magic Keyboard with an aluminum deck and a layout similar to a Mac are also said to arrive alongside the latest tablets. While the newer models should deliver a solid sales boost, Gurman states that the ‘broader’ challenges have yet to be addressed. In a previous edition of his ‘Power On’ newsletter, the Bloomberg reporter predicted that in the distant future, when the Apple Vision Pro becomes a mainstream product, it can potentially replace the iPad. Naturally, it will take Apple a considerable period to cannibalize a category that continues to bring in billions, and there is a possibility that the company completely foregoes this plan by introducing numerous improvements with iPadOS 18.
