One Baldur's Gate 3 player encountered a weird glitch that allowed them to go outside the boundaries of the game's map. Since the game's launch, Larian Studios has rolled out updates to remove bugs and glitches previously discovered by the community. Despite that, however, Baldur's Gate 3 players have recently started experiencing new errors during their playthroughs.
Over the past months, Baldur's Gate 3 players have reported a number of bugs and glitches that either hinder their experience or give them an unfair advantage. For instance, one found an infinite money glitch that allowed them to sell an item to a merchant multiple times, while another suffered a bug that prevented them from saving their game. Also, some Baldur's Gate 3 players reported encountering a visual glitch after downloading the recently released Patch 6.
One Baldur's Gate 3 player known on Reddit as Secret-Outside-4605 has recently discovered a weird glitch that pushed them out of the map and corrupted their save file. Interestingly, the player was able to see that the game's character customization is actually an area in the world of Faeun. According to them, this area is close to the Astral Plane, where players must meet the Dream Visitor to progress in the story.
Though Secret-Outside-4605 didn't give further details, they claimed that Baldur's Gate 3's Underdark isn't actually under the ground. The player pointed out that this weird glitch made their character invisible and prevented them from performing any actions. Besides, their save file in the honour mode got nuked, but luckily they were at the start of the game.
It's no surprise that Baldur's Gate 3's character creation area is close to the Astral Plane, since it's also where players build their Guardian. If Secret-Outside-4605 could roam this inaccessible region, it would have been interesting to see its architectural design. As for the Underdark, it's a bit surprising that this cavernous space is not under the wilderness.
