Ever since Square Enix announced Kingdom Hearts 4, fans have been pouring over their favourite Disney movies, imagining Sora in Star Wars and even the MCU, but today, they're doing something a bit different. Now, the community is trying to put together the worst possible KH4.
"'Wait, it was all just a dream?' as Sora wakes up as a 14-year-old on Destiny Islands," manowar89 suggested. "Sora Kairi and Riku were just roleplaying at Disney Land all along."
Literally every single world is just a different Marvel movie.
"Somehow Xehanort returned," another Reddit user commented, referencing one of the series' major villains.
"There's a Finding Nemo world, but the KH1 Atlantica swimming mechanics return," Karhutar, who clearly wants to watch the world burn, added.
Others suggest going back to Kingdom Hearts basics and teasing several prequels and sequels exclusive to completely different platforms. One for the Nintendo Switch, another for Apple Arcade, and maybe a vital, plot-heavy instalment just for the ASUS Rog Ally. The sky's the limit.
Speaking of going back to the classics, "They bring back the Chain of Memories gameplay, but mix it with the Junction system from Final Fantasy 8".
To throw my own suggestion into the ring - a Kingdom Hearts full of nothing but straight-to-DVD sequels. I'm talking Lion King 1/2, Leroy & Stitch, 101 Dalmations 2, Bambi 2...
Others, however, are looking to the 'now' for the worst possible KH4 experience, with a game comprised of nothing but post-2018 worlds. That means Star Wars, Marvel, Elemental, Wish, the new Haunted Mansion, and importantly, no Kairi and Riku. With such a big Disney push, that also means zero Final Fantasy characters.
