Xbox Free Play Days includes Modern Warfare 3 MP and FC 24 for all Xbox players
thesixthaxis.comIt’s another weekend with Xbox Free Play Days, but this time there’s a twist to proceedings. Modern Warfare 3 multiplayer and EA Sports FC 24 will be playable by any and all Xbox gamers through this weekend for free – no Xbox Game Pass Core or Game Pass Ultimate is required).
Alongside that, Xbox Game Pass Core and up will also have access to Lego 2K Drive and Aliens: Fireteam Elite through the weekend as well.
All four games are playable from today through to 8AM GMT on Monday 18th December. Simply head to the Xbox Store on your console, search for the game you want to check out, and you should be able to download and get playing.
While COD Modern Warfare 3 isn’t the series at its best in terms of single player, the multiplayer is that familiar COD experience (especially as all of the new maps are from the 2009 Modern Warfare 2), and there’s a fresh take on Zombies mode. This Free Play Days stint will allow you to play multiplayer and Zombies.
Considering that it’s been widely panned – by ourselves as well – trying it out for free is probably for the best.
EA Sports FC 24, meanwhile, was much better received, as EA moved on from the FIFA license and turned in a new evolution of their football game.
In our EA Sports FC 24 review, Aran said, “EA Sports FC 24 is not the complete departure from FIFA that its name would suggest. Most of the fundamentals remain in place and the career modes have barely been updated. Then again, Ultimate Team is the series’ real money-spinner, coming with the addition of evolutions and mixed gender teams. Overall, the on-pitch gameplay is good, and you can see the extra animations enhancing the football sim, but it isn’t a massive evolution of EA’s flagship series.”
