For years, Bethesda games have become known for their abundance of glitches among the community. Fallout 4 is no exception, and is arguably one of the studio's buggiest titles to date. This isn't always a bad thing, though. While some bugs are game-breaking, they're generally patched out quickly after being discovered. Nowadays, most of the bugs found in the game add some level of humor to the experience, such as the Fallout 4 bug that saw NPCs swimming in the streets. These types of glitches are usually harmless, and can actually make a playthrough more memorable for a player.
Redditor ItsYaBoi1232 shared the image online, which shows a Junkyard Dog speaking to the player in their settlement, claiming, «I hope you realize how much you did for us.» It isn't clear whether the bug caused a voiced line of dialogue to play, which would only add to the confusion. The cause of the bug isn't clear, although one player pointed out that the user was using the Sim Settlements mod for Fallout 4. One possible theory is that this particular mod is causing an issue with settlers and their intended dialogue, resulting in a talking dog.
The Fallout series has its share of amazing non-human characters, but talking dogs is, as of yet, uncharted territory.
