Afan created a detailed map for a hypothetical Fallout game set in New Orleans. The map is so interesting and varied that some fans think the Big Easy would be a perfect location for a future Fallout title.
Fallout 5 is still without a release date or official reveal, and seeing that Bethesda has confirmed that The Elder Scrolls 6 will come first, Fallout 5 is likely still a long way away. However, that hasn't stopped Fallout fans from daydreaming about what Fallout 5's location might be. In the post's comments section, the Fallout fan offered plenty more lore regarding the region's factions, enemies, history, and more.
Many fans were impressed by the creation and voiced their support that New Orleans would make for a great Fallout location. However, others worried that the map featured too much water, which is usually a useless facet of Fallout games. But, to be fair to omega-lf, they explained that the water could be utilized for travel purposes, something that Bethesda could probably manage following some of the impressive features seen in Starfield.
