Fans of the original Red Dead Redemption are calling for one underrated feature of the game's bounty system to return in future iterations of the series. While players can capture other bounties in Red Dead Redemption, there's undoubtedly plenty of fun to be had for players in racking up a bounty of their own, and this feature improves that.
The original Red Dead Redemption remains one of the best Western games of all time, with it and its sequel often used as the benchmark for what a game in this genre should strive to be. Although they're Western games, at their core, they're both Rockstar titles, thriving when the player is encouraged to create chaos within their expansive worlds. Because of this, the systems in place should complement that chaos, and there's one feature that the original Red Dead Redemption got right which its sequel left out.
The clip posted by Redditor ThePhenomenalOne100 shows off the feature, which lists player crimes whenever a bounty is paid off. This particular footage shows off a bounty that includes 93 counts of vandalism, 108 counts of horse slaughter, as well as a staggering 314 counts of murdering an officer of the law, among other crimes. While the feature was present in Red Dead Redemption, it was notably missing from the sequel. However, it's such a small feature that really hits home just how many crimes a player can commit, and allows them to put a solid number to their chaotic ventures.
