Following its anticipated launch, Helldivers 2 has beaten God of War to become Sony's highest-played game ever on Steam. While Helldivers 2 features strong gameplay that attracts plenty of shooter fans, some users have grown frustrated after its rocky release, but this hasn't stopped it from outperforming other Sony heavyweights on Steam.

The popularity of the first Helldivers and the promising gameplay of Helldivers 2 has caused the game to outperform the other anticipated Steam releases by a wide margin. However, Helldivers 2 users have experienced frustrating bugs following its launch, including matchmaking, login, and crashing issues. Arrowhead recently released a Helldivers 2 patch for PC players that improved matchmaking for some users, but many fans are still reporting problems. Arrowhead confirmed that PlayStation users can expect a similar patch soon.
