Diablo 4's second season, the Season of Blood, is now officially one month away from ending — which means soon we'll be hearing more about the new Season's theme, balance changes, additions, and more. While we know that Blizzard's stance for Season 2 was «no plans for nerfs,» Season 3 remains a question mark — will overperforming builds such as Ball Lightning Sorcerer and HotA Barbarian be nerfed, or will other builds be buffed to meet them? Will the more powerful Vampiric Powers return like Malignant Powers did? Rogues in particular have one burning question — will the bug with be fixed, or will it become a standard part of the Rogue gameplay arsenal?
Not everyone knows of the bug related to, specifically its Maximum Resource affix.
While other Uniques have similar affixes, such as with its Primary Resource affix, is special in that, with it being a flat addition instead of a percentage, it is being added to every Rogue resource — even though it clearly shouldn't be.
Rogues, in addition to Energy as their main Resource, can choose a Specialization as their unique class mechanic. One of these Specialization options is Combo Points, which offer increased power and effectiveness to Core skills when expended.
This buff isn't insignificant; for instance, with a skill such as, each Combo Point spent while casting the Skill increases the damage output as well as firing another arrow. With a cap of three Combo Points, that means can fire 8 arrows instead of 5, and each of those 8 arrows is stronger than they would be originally.
Combo Points can easily turn already strong skills into absolute killing machines — which is why the bug affects them so severely.
