Stardew Valley Fan Finds Playable Version of the Game in an Unexpected Place
Stardew Valley has made its way pretty much everywhere around the world, but a fan was still taken by surprise when they found a playable version of the game on a test computer at Walmart. When Stardew Valley launched, it was only available on PC. As time went by, ConcernedApe continued to work on the game and eventually got it to become available on nearly every platform. Nowadays, gamers can enjoy the game on PC, Xbox, Playstation, Switch, and mobile devices.
Fans can play Stardew Valley on the go pretty easily on multiple platforms. Not only can they play it on a portable console like the Switch, but they can also get it on their phones by purchasing the app or through Xbox cloud gaming. It has never been easier to sit back and get lost in the peacefulness that Pelican Town provides.
The Stardew Valley community is known for getting the game running on peculiar devices. A while ago, a fan shared a video of themselves playing Stardew Valley on a Game Boy-like device. This time around, DawnOfANewLeaf, a member of the Stardew Valley subreddit, discovered the game in a place they most likely never expected to find it: Walmart. As they approached one of the test computers at Walmart, they noticed that Stardew Valley was installed on it.
Many of the members of the subreddit found this hilarious and immediately started coming up with background stories for the save files shown in DawnOfANewLeaf's picture. One of the tabs marked 96 hours of total playtime in Stardew Valley, and while some commentators mentioned that it could've been a kid waiting for their parents, many started speculating that it was the store employees' save file and that perhaps they would take turns and play during their shifts.
