The Last of Us Part 2 Remastered just released on January 19 as the PlayStation 5's first exclusive for 2024. Redditor shawak456 posted their discovery in The Last of Us Part 2 Remastered, which is a screenshot of a book a character in the game is reading. Because of the 4K textures, the text on the book is now readable, and it turns out to be full of nothing but the infamous lorem ipsum dummy text. This text is made up of fake Latin-sounding gibberish intended to fill a layout with copy, and Naughty Dog's use of this simply implies that they didn't take the extra time and effort to populate their game universe further in the remastering process. While it's acceptable for almost all players for developers to do something like this for a detail most won't even notice, it still could be considered slightly uncharacteristic of Naughty Dog, as they've been known to put in intricate details in a few The Last of Us scenes.
The Last of Us Part 2 Remastered debuted to glowing reviews, with many players feeling like it's the best way to play the game, especially for those who haven't gotten to play the original.
