The latest update for the Tomb Raider Remastered Trilogy has strangely removed two "Laura Cruz" posters from Tomb Raider 3's Sleeping With The Fishes level, but only when playing with modern graphics.
Although the Tomb Raider Remastered Trilogy proved to be plenty popular enough when it first launched, that hasn't stopped Aspyr from continuing to update the collection in response to feedback. So far, these changes have been positive and are much-needed, like keys being made more visible while in modern graphics mode.
Although most of the changes that have been made to the Remastered Trilogy so far have not only been popular but clearly shared by Aspyr in patch notes, Kotaku has noticed a very strange cut that has been made from the modern graphics mode of Tomb Raider 3. So far, nothing has been said about the change officially, making it a bit of a mystery as to why it has happened.
As reported by Kotaku and showcased by Twitter user Scratch_Point_Z, the second update for Tomb Raider's Remastered Trilogy (which was released on April 11 and only just spotted in the last few days) has removed several pinup posters of Lara Croft from Tomb Raider 3. In that game, going to the locker room of the Sleeping with the Fishes level in Tomb Raider 3: The Lost Artefact resulted in a cheeky easter egg.
Looking at the wall of the locker room would show off several risque posters of Lara Croft (signed as Laura Cruz, Lara's original name) as a cheeky little easter egg, something that was kept intact and even kind of remastered up until the most recent update. Now, though, the posters are completely missing in action and have been removed.
