Nintendo has insisted on multiple occasions that it will be announcing its next console before the end of this fiscal year, which means we’ll have official information on the successor to the Switch before April 1 next year. When exactly can we expect further details, however?
In a recently uploaded podcast, prominent insider Nate the Hate has offered details on the timeline that Nintendo allegedly has planned for the Switch 2’s reveal and release. As per the insider, after an announcement of the console in either January or March, Nintendo currently has an event planned for sometime in May that will be focused entirely on its next-gen console. That will allegedly be followed by a launch for the console sometime in June.
Thus far, Nintendo itself has said little about its next console, though last month, the company confirmed that it will indeed feature backward compatibility, and will also support the Nintendo Switch Online subscription service. Read more on that through here.
