Correctly building the Pyro Traveler in is a necessary step in optimizing their role as either a sub-DPS or a main DPS in team comps. The Pyro Traveler has finally become available as of Version 5.3, following their arrival in Natlan in Version 5.0. The Pyro Traveler is, at their core, an off-field sub-DPS capable of helping the party with off-field Pyro DMG against enemies, activated by their Elemental Skill. The Pyro Traveler’s kit in revolves mostly around this mechanic. However, it’s possible to transform them into a main DPS, too.
Once you unlock the Pyro Traveler’s C6 (Constellation level 6), their Normal, Charged, and Plunging Attacks will deal Nightsoul-aligned Pyro DMG while in the Nightsoul’s Blessing state, making them a viable NA DPS. If you unlock their C6, you are not locked out of their sub-DPS role, but can instead opt to use them as your main damage dealer. This, however, affects a large portion of their build, from weapons and Artifacts to the team comps themselves. This 5-star sword gives them a decent Elemental Mastery sub-stat (198 at level 90) but what really makes it worthwhile is its weapon skill. Freedom-Sworn increases the user’s DMG by 10% and when they trigger reactions, they gain a Sigil of Rebellion. With two Sigils, they are consumed and grant nearby allies 20% ATK and 16% Normal, Charged, and Plunging Attack DMG for 12 seconds.
Sigils can be obtained every 0.5 seconds, an effect that can be triggered even if the character is off-field. Once the Sigils are consumed, no Sigils can be obtained for 20 seconds. The effect of this weapon does not stack if another character is wielding Freedom-Sworn.
