Warner Bros. has announced the digital release date for its newest documentary about the aftermath of Superman actor Christopher Reeve‘s unfortunate horse riding accident which left him paralyzed. This docufilm comes after two decades since his death at the age of 52.
“Following a life-altering accident, Christopher Reeve persevered, inspiring the world by using his fame to speak of hope and change our perception of paralysis, all while remaining a dedicated activist, actor and filmmaker, devoted dad, and loving husband to Dana, the beating heart of the family,” reads the film’s official synopsis.”The documentary features never-before-seen intimate home movies and an extraordinary trove of personal archive material, as well as the first extended interviews ever filmed with Reeve’s three children about their father, and interviews with the A-list Hollywood actors who were Reeve’s colleagues and friends. The film is a moving and vivid cinematic telling of Reeve’s remarkable story.”
Super/Man: The Christopher Reeve Story will be available to purchase on digital platforms, including Amazon Prime Video, AppleTV, Google Play, Fandango At Home, and more, starting on November 5. Since making its debut at the 2024 Sundance Film Festival, the film has received near-perfect Tomatometer and Popcornmeter scores on Rotten Tomatoes.
