The massively promising urban open world game Project Mugen has been renamed Ananta, and it’ll receive a new trailer on 4th December. The game was originally announced for PS5 and PS4, but now only references Sony’s current console on its website.
The beginning of a Mugen?
Those with long memories may recall this NetEase effort being announced last year, where it showcased Spider-Man style traversal and a wealth of different minigames and activities. We actually spoke to one of the developers at the Tokyo Game Show, and asked whether the release was real, as it simply looked too good to be true in it its first trailer. (He promised it was!)
A new promo video is scheduled to debut on 4th December, but for the time being there’s a short clip designed to promote the new name above. We’ll obviously be keeping a close eye on this one, as what’s been shown so far looks incredible.
