Astro Bot Gains Free Festive DLC Level on PS5, New Special Bots to Collect | Push Square

You thought Astro Bot's run of free DLC updates was finished? Developer Team Asobi has just announced one last treat for fans of PS5's plucky platformer, and it launches free for all players tomorrow, 12th December.

This special new DLC is a festive-themed level named Winter Wonder. Accessible once you complete the main game, Winter Wonder is a colourful, Christmassy stage for all ages, rather than another challenging speedrun like the previous additions.

While details are scarce, we do get a brief look at what it comprises in the above clip.

The level looks like the jolliest thing this side of Santa's workshop, but it will also contain some Special Bots to find.

These might be related to some games, characters, and franchises discovered in the Astro Bot credits that have yet to make an in-game appearance.

Great! The last two speed-run challenges were maybe the weakest levels in Astro Bot so a fun explorable level is more than welcome!

This looks so damn cute. I was praying they would add a new level before the year's end and Team Asobi delivered.

I'll definitely take a regular level over a speed run even if those were still fun. But what Ive really been hoping for with these updates is challenging levels. I hope they do more next year
