Although bringing back a 25-year-old game may not immediately seem like a way to address these issues, it would be a smart move for EA. Re-releasing wouldn’t just give players a way to re-experience the old features they miss in, but it would also allow EA to show the community that the company is aware of what they want. Now that it’s getting harder and harder to play the original, this would likely also be a smart move on the company’s part to avoid players resorting to unofficial versions they find online.
Whether it’s older players looking to relive their nostalgia, or younger players who started with the later games and are curious about older versions of, there seems to be a big audience that would be happy about a re-release. It seems clear from these numbers that plenty of players are still interested in learning about and how it differs from recent games.
