This past weekend marked the release of multiple large-scale live-service titles, and all appear to have achieved instant success. The Path of Exile 2 servers were brought to their knees as early access went live, Marvel Rivals brought in 10 million players, and now Infinity Nikki developer PaperGames has confirmed it did the same.
Writing on Twitter, the game's official account said: «Infinity Nikki has reached over 10 million downloads worldwide! On this whimsical journey, take each step with confidence and embrace the brilliance of every moment.» To celebrate all of that success, 10 Resonite Crystals have been sent to every player's mailbox.
Now the free game has established an engaged playerbase, it'll look to keep them playing with new events, dresses, and content drops. Infinity Nikki makes its profits from the gacha system, where players can use pulls to try and unlock five-star outfits and gear. Given the cutesy nature of it all, dressing your own character up in the loveliest clothing possible is a real draw for some PS5, PS4 users.
