Devolver Digital has announced Baby Steps won't be releasing on PS5 until 2025, as part of its comical Delayed Awards livestream. The game, which is inspired by the recent trend of titles that are purposefully hard to control (think Chained Together and Getting Over It), sees you play as a man baby taking his first steps out into the world after a lonely life of unemployed isolation.
Baby Steps was originally announced during the summer season last year, and was supposed to be out for PS5 this year. It'll now launch in 2025 along with Skate Story and Stick it to the Stickman, though the other two aren't slated to come to PS5 yet. You can catch a reminder of what Baby Steps is in the trailer above.
«Play as Nate, an unemployed failson with nothing going for him, until one day he discovers a power he never knew he had… putting one foot in front of the other,» the PS Store listing teases. «Explore a world shrouded in mist, one step at a time. Hike the serene mountains by placing each footstep yourself, in original physics-based gameplay from the minds behind Ape Out and Getting Over It.»
Are you looking forward to putting one foot in front of the other next year? Have a practise in the comments below.
