Final Fantasy XIV Brings Back the Starlight Celebration, Along With New Twitch Campaign for a Snowstreamer
mmorpg.comFinal Fantasy XIV brings back the annual Starlight Celebration holiday event next week. There's also a new way to get your hands on a Snowstreamer mount.
The event will run from next Monday, December 16th, through December 31st. If you're level 15+ and looking to participate, find Amh Garanjy in Old Gridania to help out with the event quest. Once you find the NPC and find out what she needs, she'll give you a question to complete in order to get this year's new rewards.
After you've completed the steps, you'll get several rewards, including a very festive Starlight Stalls Barding, which adds a red and white hat and a scarf that looks like it's made of Santa hats, additional saddle decor, as well as a festive basket with berries and bells and other festive items. This cosmetic is a fun way to add a touch of Santa to your favorite Chocobo.
Additional festive rewards, even in the name, include the Festive Starlight Celebration Advertisement, a wall-mounted housing item. Another housing item is the Starlight Mug Tower. Starlight Kinderpunsch is a consumable good for 10 uses, that offers bonuses to Piety, gear durability, +3% EXP gain, and +5% VIT, all fo 30 minutes. Finally, there's a new orchestrion roll, “Winter’s Warm Boughs”.
In addition to the new rewards, we can expect stuff from prior years’ celebrations to be available in case you missed them.
During the event period, Square Enix is hosting the Snowstreamer Twitch Support-A-Streamer Campaign. If you purchase or gift three Twitch subscriptions while you are watching eligible channels streaming Final Fantasy XIV during the Starlight Celebration, you will get 50 Aetheryte Tickets and the Snowstreamer Bell. Use the Bell to get your Snowstreamer mount in game.
