WWE is now streaming its weekly RAW and Smackdown shows on Netflix, and as part of last night's big kick-off show, a few teasers for this year's WWE 2K25 were first revealed. During the show itself, Roman Reigns and his manager Paul Heyman are recorded in a scene discussing a platform «where the whole can acknowledge» him, before they go through and close a door with the WWE 2K25 branding on it. It sounds like the full reveal will take place on 27th January 2025.
Shortly after the scene, the Xbox Twitter account posted a «special first look» at the game, featuring screenshots of CM Punk, Liv Morgan, Cody Rhodes, and Damien Priest. The game is already available to wishlist on the PS Store, where its description reads: «WWE 2K returns bigger, bolder, and better than ever in a breakthrough year for the franchise! We're preparing to charge down the ramp with game-changing features, iconic Superstars and all the authenticity and action fans love from the best in sports entertainment.»
After a rather dramatic slump in quality a handful of years ago, the WWE 2K entries have been widely praised as they get better and better every year. For the 2025 instalment, the initial pitch is vague, but it sounds like new and improved features as well as the latest wrestling superstars will all feature. There'll be more details in less than three weeks, on 27th January.
