Sorry, wrestling fans. If you haven't moved on to WWE 2K24 already, your opportunity to earn WWE 2K23's Platinum Trophy is now gone. Multiplayer servers have been shuttered, adding the game's shiny gong to the growing list of permanently unobtainable Trophies.
Spied by PSLS, the topic of these lost Trophies has risen again, with players having long petitioned PlayStation to remove such ruinous requirements from Trophy lists. Add to that the argument that some have put forward that multiplayer Trophies in primarily single-player games are essentially paywalled (requiring a PS Plus subscription), and it's clear there's plenty of room for improvement in the space.
Sadly, the noble Trophy Hunter has always been a rare beast, and many (me) have largely aged out of the pursuit, having less free time than we once did. Regardless, Sony has shown little inclination to overhaul its meta-game meaningfully, but we'd love to see it happen.

Devs need to learn if they want our money, don’t butcher the trophy lists. Games built from the ground up around online connectivity/multiplayer are one thing, and everyone knows what they’re getting into when they get involved with them.
