He confirmed that some will view Nolan Grayson as a hero, while others will not forgive him. When asked if Nolan could ever be forgiven, Simmons responded, “I love that that’s a question… it would have been pretty tedious to play through seasons of him just being the biggest, baddest guy on the block. And I think being able to explore some vulnerability and some self-doubt even is really an interesting journey.” This suggests that Nolan’s redemption is being explored as a meaningful arc rather than a simple resolution.

Simmons also acknowledged that while some might view Omni-Man as a hero, full redemption may be impossible. “You definitely can’t please all the people all the time, right? So I think, yeah, there will be some, I think, who will hail Omni-Man and/or Nolan as a hero. But, yeah, it’s never going to be, you know—I mean, that’s the way the world is.” This aligns with the show’s grounded approach to complex morality, emphasizing that absolution is not universal.
