Since the underwhelming Shattered Space, Bethesda’s Starfield has kept a low profile. Its last major update was in November, adding two new Creations and celebrating over 15 million players. However, that silence may break as early as next week.
According to Odahfield, who leaked the Creation Club and Shattered Space’s release window, there will be Starfield news next week. However, it’s “not the one you expect.” There are two possibilities, the first being the reveal of Starborn, the rumored second expansion seemingly launching this year.
The other is the announcement of a PlayStation 5 release, which is possible given recent rumors about a Switch 2 version. With Microsoft announcing the likes ofForza Horizon 5, Age of Empires 2: Definitive Edition, and Age of Mythology: Retold for PS5, the latter seems likely.
Perhaps the announcement will coincide with the next State of Play, also rumored for next week (likely on February 14th). Time will tell, so stay tuned for updates. Starfield is available for Xbox Series X/S and PC alongside Game Pass.
