A recent post by Redditor MXHombre123 indicates thata remake of, along the same lines as the remakes, might be in development at Capcom, citing an anonymous post where the poster refers to information from an unknown "" acquaintance. While this might not be substantial on the surface, this information was also posted by Reddit user IcePopsicleDragon around the same time, with both sources saying that the info was paired with a leak that EA's franchise would also receive news — which it recently did.
According to the leaks,the prospective remake would include "", a "", and a "". News of the leak has also been paired with a statement from the voice actor for series antagonist Vergil, Daniel Southworth. Southworth said that he had "" at a Power Morphicon 2024 panel, as can be seen in a video posted by YouTuber Jason Naranjo, which fans have taken as soft confirmation of a new game in the works.
As the upcoming Final Fantasy 16 commits fully to flashy action combat, it may be time for one of Capcom's classic franchises to be remade.
