With The Game Awards taking place this Thursday, some publishers are starting to confirm their presence in the side of the show all about gaming news and announcements. 2K is one such company, which has now revealed that trailers for Borderlands 4 and Mafia: The Old Country will debut during the livestream. Both were originally announced a couple of months at Gamescom Opening Night Live, another Geoff Keighley-hosted event.
Borderlands 4 is currently slated for a 2025 release while the new Mafia title lacks a release window. It's still possible the later launches next year, though, with this upcoming look said to be a full reveal. Gameplay for both games seems likely. Meanwhile, the fourth Borderlands entry is described as the «most ambitious» one yet, coming off the film's flop.
Of course, we already knew a Borderlands 4 trailer is right around the corner since Randy Pitchford figured he could just casually tweet about it without letting anyone else at the studio know.
