CD Projekt Red Partners with Netflix for New Cyberpunk Animated Series | Push Square

Fans of the excellent Cyberpunk: Edgerunners are sitting pretty, with CD Projekt Red today confirming a partnership with Netflix to produce another animated project set in the world of Cyberpunk 2077. We have to assume it will be something separate from Edgerunners, however, as CD Projekt has not confirmed another collaboration with Studio Trigger.

The news comes to us by way of the Polish firm's latest financials (thanks, VGC), with chief financial officer, Piotr Nielubowicz revealing the exciting news: «I’m also very happy to announce that we’re working on another animation project set in the Cyberpunk universe, which will be released on Netflix.» VGC reminds us that CDPR and Netflix did release a mysterious teaser back in September, which you can check out below.

Great news… loved the first season.

Edgerunners is the only good bit of Cyberpunk content they've had so yeah I'm excited. It was actually political and told a good story.

Really important which studio takes it on.

I'd be fine if production i.g. takes a shot at it if it's not trigger, but there are several other really talented studios.
Wouldn't mind it being done like Megalobox either, having a 90s OVA Aesthetic. Golden age of anime.
