As everyone is still glued to Black Ops 6, it might seem too soon to start looking ahead to future releases, but the voracious Call of Duty beast never rests. According to a known series insider, Sledgehammer Games will reportedly lead development on 2027's inevitable Call of Duty release. This same leaker expects that 2026's release will be Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4, developed by Infinity Ward.
That's what The Ghost of Hope says anyway (thanks, PSU), and the leakster made the bold prediction on X, and that it's possible 2027's game could end up being Advanced Warfare 2. In a reply, The Ghost of Hope says: «Nobody knows who owns [COD 2025], but every studio is working on it. Pretty odd».
