Stellar Blade teased fans with new details for its planned New Game+ mode. Players will likely be pleased to know that developer Shift Up is already adding post-launch content for Stellar Blade, its highly anticipated sci-fi post-apocalyptic action game for the PlayStation 5. This includes a New Game+ mode, which will let players extend their playthrough with the promise of new content to unlock.
Stellar Blade has garnered an avid following in the past few months for its action-packed gameplay and eye-catching aesthetics, with the title even rapidly rising to the top of the PlayStation Network's pre-order list after the release of the Stellar Blade gameplay demo back in March. Players were additionally thrilled when Shift Up announced it planned to add several features as post-launch content, which notably included a New Game+ mode for players who wanted to continue their experience beyond their initial campaign playthrough.
Shift Up further discussed what players could expect from the anticipated New Game+ mode in a PlayStation Blog post. In terms of pure gameplay, New Game+ will introduce more challenging difficulty levels and a higher level cap for protagonist EVE 07's equipment and items. Players can also unlock a variety of special abilities that were not available in their first run, with four brand-new Beta skills, eight powerful improved Infinite skills, and five drone skills.
Additionally, players interested in fashion will likely be thrilled with the variety of new wardrobe options for Eve and her allies. Eve herself will receive an impressive 34 cosmetic items, along with several accessories for Lily, Adam, and the drone. These cosmetics are notably completely free with New Game+ and will be one of the features packaged with Stellar Blade's day-one patch. The costumes themselves can be obtained after playing through the entirety of Stellar Blade's campaign, whereafter they can be obtained from chests or purchased from SP0-tt2r's shop.
