There are a lot of things that Starfield lets you do, even if its detrimental to your own health. You have to live with the consequences of your actions of course, but there are very few things that the game takes completely off the table. One of those things was getting out of your ship whilst you're flying through space, something that the last fifty years of sci-fi movies and video games warns you not to do.

What makes this use of console commands rather interesting is that it actually looks as if it could have been officially implemented at some point. Obviously, a more realistic depiction of space would have this player simply float in one direction until they were just a speck on the horizon, but subsequent posts from u/WeirdConcern4666 revealed that they were able to stand on nearby rocks and even start building an outpost on them. You can even remove your spacesuit, just don't expect to survive for very long.
