Eric «ConcernedApe» Barone has revealed his plans for after Stardew Valley Update 1.6 launches later this month. Stardew Valley fans have been anxiously awaiting the arrival of Update 1.6, which promises to introduce substantial new content to the beloved life sim.

While fans will have to play the post-update game for themselves to see everything new in Stardew Valley after Update 1.6, ConcernedApe has teased fans with some of the new content they can look forward to once the patch launches. This includes new festivals, more endgame content, new items, new dialogue, winter outfits for villagers, new rewards, a new farm type, «many small additions and adjustments,» and even 8-player multiplayer support for those playing on PC. With Stardew Valley Update 1.6 releasing March 19 for PC players, some may be wondering what's next for the game.

Speaking to Polygon, ConcernedApe has revealed what his plans are for after Stardew Valley Update 1.6 launches. ConcernedApe's first concern will be to fix bugs brought on by the update, and then he will release the update for console and mobile platforms before turning his attention back to Haunted Chocolatier. Haunted Chocolatier is ConcernedApe's next game, and many fans are excited to learn more about it.

Haunted Chocolatier was announced years ago, but fans still don't know when exactly they will get to play it. Stardew Valley Update 1.6 development has taken ConcernedApe away from his work on Haunted Chocolatier, but development on the new game should resume in earnest once Update 1.6 is available to the masses. Hopefully that means fans of ConcernedApe's work will get more frequent updates on Haunted Chocolatier's progress and learn more about what exactly the new game is bringing to the table.
