Persona 6 will have a green color theme, a well-known insider has claimed. The same source also shared some new insights into the Persona 6 development timeline.
The fandom has long speculated that the next mainline entry in the iconic franchise will have a green motif. The strongest piece of evidence feeding into that theory was given by Atlus itself in the run-up to the series' 25th anniversary event in February 2022. The company teased the happening with a piece of artwork depicting all Persona protagonists in reversed chronological order, with P5's Joker standing next to a bucket of green paint. This gave rise to a lot of speculation that Persona 6 will have a green motif.
Well-known Sega insider Midori has now lent even more credence to that theory, having claimed that the much-anticipated JRPG will indeed have a green color theme in an April 8 tweet. The leaker, whose online moniker happens to translate to «green,» also said that Persona 6 has been in development since 2019 in response to one subsequent fan question. Midori elaborated on that point by stating that the work on the game started around the same time Persona 3 Reload and Persona 5 Tactica entered production.
This bit of unofficial insight into the project is yet another indication that the highly anticipated RPG is now entering its final stretch of development. According to Midori's past scoops, Persona 6 has long been targeting a 2025 release, although the insider recently clarified that the game could still slip into 2026.
Atlus's track record under Sega suggests that the company is likely to officially announce Persona 6 up to a year ahead of its market debut. While some series spin-offs like P5 Tactica went from reveal to release in a much shorter time frame, the Japanese group has historically preferred longer marketing cycles for its mainline entries.
