Skull and Bones begins its second closed beta round today. With Ubisoft having set a launch date in February for the open world pirate game, the latest beta is here for a taste of what you can expect.
It seems that with the new beta, a recent appearance on The Game Awards, and a new launch date (after many, many delays), things are moving in the right direction and the team is looking to test their servers and see how a cross-platform test holds up.
<p dir=«ltr» lang=«en» xml:lang=«en»>Prepare to set sail...#SkullAndBones Closed Beta is LIVE! ???? https://t.co/NeipmeIEGs pic.twitter.com/ZU0sp6RGQJThe beta is accessible on all platforms, with PC players able to access via the Epic Games Store and Ubisoft Connect, and PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S players on their respective stores. Those who’ve been lucky enough to get invites to the current test can also invite two friends to join them.
You’ll be able to sail around the seas and explore the Red Isle during your allotted beta time. Each person will be able to spend a total of six hours in the beta, before access is cut off, but it seems there are few restrictions on how you spend your time. if you are in the game and you hit start or continue, your time will take down even if you're only idling in a menu, so if you need to take a break you should log out. if you do log out and come back, as long as the beta is still running and you haven't played 6 hours yet you'll be able to continue until your time is up.
The beta will end on Monday December 18th at midnight Pacific / 3:00 AM Eastern.
