Bandai Namco has debuted a new developer diary series for Sand Land, the upcoming sandbox action game based on Akira Toriyama's one-volume manga. Just about everything that we've seen of the title so far has shown promise, and the new gameplay that's on display here — along with explanations of mechanics from producer Keishu Minami — has only served to enhance our enthusiasm. The video's well worth a watch if you're even slightly interested in the game.
Sand Land still doesn't have a release date, but we can't see it being too far out. As long as it avoids that absolutely deadly early 2024 release schedule — which is utterly dominated by other Japanese titles — we'll be happy.

Robert's been a dedicated PlayStation fan since the days of Tekken 2, and he still loves a good dust up. When he's not practising combos, he's usually getting lost in the latest 100-hour RPG, or, y'know, replaying The Witcher 3.
Ha, sandbox. I see what you did there.
Not sure if you posted about this on here, but I just found out a Sand Land film came out a couple of months ago.

I'll be checking that out whenever it comes on on home media. But yeah this game looks genuinely interesting and characterful. It seemed to come out of nowhere too — but given the recent film, it seems like might be going for a revival of the series.
