Discovery which saw James Gunn and Peter Safran being instated as the CEOs of DC Studios, according to Dwayne Johnson, who revealed this information in Kevin Hart’s show Hart to Heart.

Moreover, due to Black Adam being a box-office bomb, it is very likely that Gunn would not want to use the character in any capacity in his DC Universe. Moreover, Gunn also did not mention Dwayne Johnson’s name when he revealed via Threads the names of the actors who would reprise their roles from the DC Extended Universe in his partially-rebooted DC Universe.

This situation is in contrast to what Dwayne Johnson revealed via Twitter back on December 21, 2022, where he stated that although Black Adam would not be a part of James Gunn’s first DCU chapter, he and the latter were exploring opportunities to integrate the character later down the line.
