Like any MMO, you gain experience by defeating enemies and completing quests with your character, and as you do more, you’ll level up and unlock new abilities, content, and ways to play the game. For WoW, this is the same idea, but with the Shadowlands expansion, Blizzard changed up the expereince in a major way that makes it much faster and more streamlined for players.
