Darkest Dungeon II's First DLC, 'The Blinding Blade' Launches, Brings Back the Crusader and Adds Duelist

The Crusader returns to Darkest Dungeon as one of the playable heroes in this DLC, along with the new Duelist. The Crusader was a fan-favorite the first time around, and his return comes with a special unlock quest, special trinkets and signature items, along with, of course, his sharp blade. The Duelist has two combat stances, defensive and aggressive, depending on which is required in a particular situation. She can also ignore enemy defenses and has the ability to strike back with her Riposte. Additionally, she’ll help out the team with offensive and defensive buffs.
The DLC has fully voiced backstories with playable flashback sequences for both of the characters so you can get to know them and use them to their fullest. The addition of these two playable Heroes brings the total up to 14 in total.
On your way to the Mountain, your journey will be a little more complicated by the Warlord. This new mini-boss is roaming, so you never quite know when he’ll turn up. you'll need to be prepared for the run-ins you'll have and the strategies you'll need to defeat the boss. This is in addition to the bosses that you’ll find on Darkest Dungeon II’s five main campaigns. The Blinding Blade DLC, which is priced at $9.99/€9,75, is out now. Its release comes at a time where developer Red Hook Studios is putting the base game on sale at a 25% discount.
