Konami is preparing a marketing campaign for the Silent Hill 2 remake which should begin soon, judging from some recent comments
Speaking with Bankier.pl, CEO Piotr Babieno commented on the remake of the second entry in the popular series the studio is working on, saying that they believe the marketing campaign in preparation by Konami will start very soon, suggesting that the remake's development is close to completion for the 2024 release window suggested by Sony with a recent trailer.
The Silent Hill 2 remake isn't the only project in the works by the Polish development studio. According to Bloober Team's CEO, Project C, the new IP developed in collaboration with Private Division, will get additional details in the first half of the year. The studio also has news planned for the rest of the year, so there will be additional surprises.
At this point, it's sounding more and more likely that the Silent Hill 2 remake will finally launch this year, as suggested by the aforementioned trailer released last week by Sony. A recent report revealed that Bloober Team is moving most of its staff to other projects, meaning that the remake is likely in the polishing phase leading up to release.
The Silent Hill 2 remake will launch on PC and PlayStation 5 on a yet-to-be-confirmed release date. We will keep you updated on the game as soon as possible, so stay tuned for all the latest news.
