After years of rumours and much speculation, Konami confirmed to the world that a remake of the much beloved Silent Hill 2 was in the works.
The project is now well underway with Bloober Team — known for The Medium and Layers of Fear — heading up development. The remake was announced during the Silent Hill transmission livestream showcase alongside several other projects in October 2022.

From what little we've seen, the graphical fidelity looks to be superb with Unreal Engine 5 helping to realise the anguish in James Sunderland's face in more detail than ever. The Silent Hill 2 remake is expected to be released in 2024.
While Konami has yet to officially confirm this, an official PlayStation showreel for upcoming games in 2024 stated that the remake of Silent Hill 2 will arrive in this window. We're expecting the developer to confirm further details shortly.
