Bloober Team's CEO, Piotr Babieno, has confirmed that news on the long-awaited Silent Hill 2 remake is expected to start being shared by Konami "very soon".
Despite being rumoured for years and finally being confirmed in late 2022, we've seen a shockingly small amount of the Silent Hill 2 remake. So far, we've only had the one reveal trailer and some small tidbits about changes being made to the game, with no other announcements made about it beyond what could be gleaned from updates to its Steam page.
After a year and a half of waiting for more news, it looks like Silent Hill fans are finally going to get what they've been asking for. As pointed out by Twitter user shinobi602 and reported by Polish site Bankier, Bloober Team CEO Piotr Babieno recently spoke about Silent Hill 2's remake and the lack of news that has been released for it so far.
Bloober has already made it clear that promotion and marketing is something that Konami needs to be doing, something that it's now confirmed is happening soon. While speaking at the Warsaw Stock Exchange, Babieno said that Konami is currently "developing a promotional campaign" for the game, one that it expects to start "very soon".
Babieno also once again made it clear that it's not up to Bloober Team to announce news on the project since it's a "work-for-hire" game and an IP that it doesn't control, which somewhat explains why there hasn't been any news on it from Bloober's side. It's not clear why Konami is holding back so much, but it seems that we'll be finding out very soon.
Now that we know that Silent Hill 2 news is coming, we just need to find out what the heck the long-rumoured Silent Hill: The Short Message actually is and whether or not it's going to end up releasing,
