The first Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth Demo comparison video has been released, showing clear visual differences in the game's Quality Mode and Performance Mode.
The demo for the upcoming Final Fantasy VII Rebirth is out now on PlayStation 5, and YouTuber 'ElAnalistaDebits' compared the visuals and performance of both visual modes to each other. In Quality Mode, Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth runs in dynamic 4K resolution at 30FPS with temporal reconstruction. The game's performance mode runs at a pretty stable 60FPS in 1440p (common 1620p-1188p). Comparing the visuals in both modes, it's clear that visual quality in Quality mode is better with the Performance mode looking somewhat blurry. Also, the Quality mode benefits from improved textures, hair quality, draw distance, ambient occlusion, vegetation, and more. Check out the comparison video below:

Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth launches later this month for PS5 on February 29. Here's what we wrote about the second entry in the Final Fantasy VII Remake series in our hands-on preview:
Truth be told, Kalm is a much more narratively interesting segment to explore for the early game in Final Fantasy VII Rebirth. After the relatively linear nature of Final Fantasy VII Remake and the focus solely on Avalanche and Midgar, the serene landscape of Kalm is much more down to earth. The town of Kalm is only a focus for a few tutorials, an introduction to the new Queen’s Blood card game, and some brief narrative moments that see Cloud and his team rushed out of town to evade capture by Shinra’s military force. At this time, players already have access to Barret and Tifa for a party of three as well as Aerith and Red XIII as swappable party members, making the playable cast already larger than VII Remake.
