CD Projekt Red made quite a name for themselves when the developers released The Witcher trilogy. This studio was all about delivering some compelling narrative-driven journeys, and while the trilogy was well received, their follow-up project failed to deliver right out of the gate. Cyberpunk 2077 had a terrible launch, and it left fans seeking refunds and bad-mouthing CD Projekt Red for delivering an unfinished project. The studio took quite a bit of time to turn the game around, but that failed launch wouldn’t deter them from bringing out another installment. Today, we’re finding out that the narrative director behind Project Orion has started work at the new office.
There is a push to bring out a few projects over at CD Projekt Red. We know that there is a new installment coming for The Witcher franchise. Meanwhile, we also know that Project Orion will be the next installment of the Cyberpunk series. Today, we’re finding out that Igor Sarzynski has made it to the new Boston office. For those who might not be familiar with the developer by name, Igor is the narrative director behind Cyberpunk 2077 and will be leading Orion.
Taking to the X social media platform, Igor unveiled that yesterday was his first day in the Boston office, and he was able to get working on the Orion project. They went on to say that Cyberpunk 2077 was just a warm-up, so we should expect a more thrilling experience with this upcoming sequel. Likewise, this will be the first project out of the new CD Projekt Red offices. The Boston offices that were set up allowed CD Projekt Red to have a team fully focused on the Cyberpunk 2077 sequel.
