Almost two years on from the announcement of Kingdom Hearts 4, it's been more or less radio silence ever since. Not even a hint at when the next game in the series might be released, and no new trailers previewing what's to come. A building influx of official new Kingdom Hearts merch might be hinting that an announcement of some sort is coming though, the latest addition being three new Sora, Kairi, and Riku plushes.
Square Enix revealed its three new plushes this week and the trio is already available to buy through the studio's Japanese store. Each plush is priced at 4,180 yen (roughly $28), and you can pre-order them through the Japanese Square Enix site right now. The plushes won't be released until June 8 though, so it'll be a few months before you can get your hands on them. While they don't tend to sell out (Sora and Riku's plushes from Kingdom Hearts 2 and 3 are still in stock), Kairi's tend to be harder to find. Kairi has plushes from those two games too, but neither is listed on the site.
As noted above, the Kingdom Hearts merch train is picking up speed, hence the belief an announcement of some sort is coming soon. The reveal of three new plushes is the second
