The iPhone 16 lineup will house numerous changes from the current models as the devices are set to receive one of the biggest makeovers. However, Apple's design language has stagnated for a while as it failed to innovate further into the foldable category. The company is now expected to revert back to the iPhone X-like design for the upcoming iPhone 16, which has raised some eyebrows over the past few months. In the latest CAD renders, it is seen that the company is aiming for an iPhone X-like camera layout but with some nifty improvements like the Capture Button.
The closer we get to the iPhone 16 launch, the clearer the design gets. There have been little to no leaks surrounding the device, but based on reports and rumors, it appears that the iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Pro models will get a slight makeover to mark a differentiating element from the current models. Tipster Majin Bu has shared CAD images of the iPhone 16, which highlights the iPhone X-like camera layout and the new Capture Button.
It can be seen in these specific CAD images that the design language is pretty reminiscent of the iPhone X. You can also argue that the design looks pretty similar to the iPhone 12 as well, but without the sensors, the external plateau looks quite nostalgic. The camera plateau protrudes out of the chassis, which will house the necessary sensors. It can also be seen that the flash module will be located outside of the camera housing, unlike the current iPhone 15 models. However, the entire camera system appears to be quite bigger than before.
